Angola 0 Portugal 1
First of all, what is up with Angola's Manuel Loco's hair? You'd have to be loco to think it was cool. For the love of God, Loco, shave it off. It bugged me throughout the entire game.
I'm ashamed to admit that the only reason why I decided to root for Portugal was because of Christiano Ronaldo. He's freaking hot! I know it's annoying when girls gush over soccer players, but I have to get it out of my system. The guy's a stud. Okay, I'm good. I'll never mention it again.
Watching Portugal play against Angola was really frustrating. It was like watching the England/Paraguay match all over again. Portugal scored a goal early on in the fourth minute of the game and became overly confident. They were just plain sloppy. Ronaldo was extremely disappointing (um, but at least he was pretty to look at, especially when he's sulking). Angola, on the other hand, put up a heckuva good fight. They didn't deserve to lose.
However, the best part of the entire match was when one of the commentators called the capital of Portugal Lesbian instead of Lisbon. Ha! I'm still laughing.

I need to upgrade my cable, I can't seem to find any of the games... :(

Hey, I was just googling on whether anyone else felt the same as I did about the horrible commentating on ESPN. Saw your blog, and I have to say I'm really fed up with ESPN. I watch all the games on Univision even though I don't understand any spanish. ESPN keeps bombarding with stupid statistics, analogies with Brett Farve and Shaq, and talk about "transition game", "1 to nothing", "double team". Oh gosh! when will americans embrace football ( i mean soccer!)

It's not just you. The commentary is bad. Very, very bad.
