Syfy channel is slowly starting to redeem itself with me (VERY slowly). How excited am I to watch Mega Python vs. Gatoroid which will be starring Debbie Gibson and Tiffany? I was a HUGE Tiffany fan as a kid (even made several embarrassing music videos to her songs), so you know who I'll be rooting for.
Gibson will play a radical animal-rights activist who ends up wreaking havoc after she frees a bunch of illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores and dumps them in the Everglades where they grow to gargantuan sizes. Tiffany plays the part of an overzealous park ranger who employs dodgy methods to save endangered alligators.
By the way, I still have not seen the movie. I always stop myself from pressing the buy button on OnDemand. However, I did tell my brother about it on Sunday and he told me he was going to watch it. He hasn't talked to me since.
Then the guilt from my ignored responsibilities grows so large that merely carrying it around with me feels like a huge responsibility. It takes up a sizable portion of my capacity, leaving me almost completely useless for anything other than consuming nachos and surfing the internet like an attention-deficient squirrel on PCP.
It's summertime and since school is out, I now have all the time in the world for watching bad morning TV and blogging. I've decided to Netflix classic 80's mini-series. So here's what's been in the DVD player.
Anne of Green Gables (1985): OMG, I forgot how good this movie was! I remember watching it on PBS every year as a kid during one of their fundraising weeks. If you haven't seen it yet, you have to rent it immediately. My favorite scene is still the one where Anne accidentally gets "bosom friend" Diana drunk on what she thought was raspberry cordial.
North and South (1985): Only Patrick Swayze can make a mullet look sexy. I'm only on part 3 of this mini-series, but so far, so good.
Any other good mini-series I should check out? After North & South, I'm planning on watching the mother of all mini-series The Thorn Birds. My mom loved it so much, that she named me after the main character.
