Vidal Sassoon: The Movie (2010): "If you don't look good, we don't look good." Interesting documentary about famed hair stylist Vidal Sasson and how his geometric haircuts rocked the fashion world during the 1960s. When he cut Mia Farrow's hair for Rosemary's Baby, it was a huge ordeal. Sadly, the documentary starts to drag towards the end, but I still enjoyed learning about the history of the 5 point haircut. 3 1/2 Stars!
Noriko's Dinner Table (2005): I wanted to like this film, but it bored me to tears. I turned it off half way through. It's about a depressed young girl named Noriko who runs away to Tokyo to meet up with some girl she met online (because that always goes well). They are hired to be fake family members in some kind of rent-a-family thing. Noriko's younger sister eventually runs away, too, or something. I was totally confused. There was also some suicide cult thing going on. I don't know. Didn't like it. Didn't get it. 1 Star!
High Lane (2009): If you've seen Cold Prey, skip this movie because it's a total rip off of that film. If you haven't seen Cold Prey, rent it instead! Then rent the sequel! 1 Star!
Mademoiselle (1966): Jeanne Moreau is brilliant as the prim and proper school teacher who is obsessed with the handsome Italian logger that has just arrived at her village. No one suspects her as being the sociopath behind the recent fires and other destructive events plaguing the community. 3 Stars!
