Manchester United wins Champions League in a penalty shoot-out.  They were lucky.  Damn lucky.  It could have just as easily been Cristiano Ronaldo crying like a little bitch for missing a penalty shot.

Chessboxing

Did you know there's such a thing as chessboxing?  That's freaking awesome!

The rules of the game are simple. Checkmates or knock-outs result in instant victory. Fighters also triumph if the boxing match is stopped by the referee, or if their opponent times-out at the chess board.

Coming to America

                           

God help us, here come the Beckhams.  David Beckham has signed a 5-year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy for $250 million dollars. 

"I've played now for two of the biggest clubs in the world and played at the highest level for 15 years, and now I think that I need another challenge," Beckham said.

David's past his prime and he knows it.  Sadly, I don't think he's going to bring a lot of attention to American soccer.

Football is an odd sport

Who Ate All the Pies has a video of Paul Diogo when he lost his finger after his wedding ring got caught on a metal barrier.  To make matters worse, he received a yellow card for excessive celebration as a result of it.  That's just wrong. 

                                     

And what's up with Rio's hair?  He looks like SideShow Bob from The Simpsons.

The World Cup is over

Congratulations to Italy for winning the 2006 World Cup!  I still can't believe Zidane head-butted Italy's Materazzi!  That was awesome!  Stupid, but awesome.
